PREPARING

1

SIGN UP FOR A SESSION

Choose your artist, discuss the style, sketch, and size of the tattoo so the artist has a clear understanding of your idea

2

PREPARATION OF A SKETCH

Be sure to discuss the sketch with the artist — it might need adjustments or refinements.Make sure you are satisfied with the result, as this is an important step before starting the work

3

PROHIBITED MEDICATIONS

A few days before the session, you should avoid taking alcohol and blood thinners (e.g. aspirin), as this can affect the healing process and tattooing. Consult with your doctor or tattoo artist if you are taking medication

4

SKIN HEALTH

Make sure that your skin is in good condition: free of abrasions, cuts, or sunburn. Moisturize your skin regularly, starting 3 days before your session. Use coconut oil or body moisturizers to make your skin soft and smooth, which will ensure a comfortable tattooing process and achieve the best results

5

FOOD & DRINK

Be sure to eat before the session, preferably 1.5 hours before it starts. If the procedure will last all day, take care of lunch: you can bring something with you or order food directly to the studio. On the day of the session, refrain from drinking strong black coffee in the morning - you can drink coffee with milk if you wish. Avoid drinking alcohol for at least two days before the session and for several days afterwards

6

CLOTHING

Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict movement and allow the artist to work comfortably, taking into account the location of the tattoo. If the tattoo will be on an area that is difficult to reach (e.g., the back), choose clothes that allow the artist to work easily

7

PSYCHOLOGICAL PREPARATION

Prepare yourself for the fact that the process can be painful. Everyone has a different pain threshold, but usually tattoos on some parts of the body can be more painful. Don't worry - the artist will help you get through the session comfortably

8

SCHEDULE & TIME

Please be on time for your session. The artist may have several appointments per day, so being late may affect the subsequent work schedule. The duration of the session may vary depending on the complexity of the tattoo. Plan your day so that you have enough time for a smooth workflow

9

ADDITIONAL TIPS

If you are anxious or are getting a tattoo for the first time, talk to the artist about your concerns. He/she will help you feel comfortable
